I want to set up a website to promote my short stories. I am novice in this area so wondering if someone can list the key steps I need to take to get a basic website up and running.
I am told to get a domain name etc. I have seen domain names being offered for $1.
I am very concerned about being a target of spam etc. How do I differentiate what is a proper hosting site (unsure if this is the right term).
My budget is limited but I am a fast learner and resourceful in non-monetary terms.
